Cascade menu
As many other Windows programs, EasyDEM does not have a command line. All file handling functions, all data loading and saving functions, or the specific functions included in EasyDEM are available through cascade menus from the principal menubar.
From left to right, the options currently provided by EasyDEM are: File, Edit, View, Draw, Calculate, Layers and Help (Fig. 5). Each one of these words has an underlined letter. As other Window programs, pressing the Alt-key and (without releasing it) pressing the underlined letter you will have the same result as if you use the mouse to invoke the function from the cascade menu. In any case, other options appear which in turn can be accessed again the letter which identifies the function, or in selected cases, through a combination of the Ctrl and other letter.

For example, if you have selected the File, is possible to open a new document pointing with the mouse and clicking the left button, or pressing the N key or without going to the cascade menu at all, by pressing the combination Ctrl+N.
