Import data to this layer
Once the Terrain layer has been generated, it is necessary to import data to it. The sequence of commands to issue is: File>>Import data>> Id,X,Y,Z, text.... Each line or row of the file must have at least four comma-separated columns : any alphanumeric string to be used as identifier, X-coordinate, Y-coordinate, Z-coordinate and also an optional text always separated by ",". It is also available the option to exchange X and Y.
If the fifth column is present, it is used to automatically create and store the points in layers according to such text. Thus, if you want that a selected subset of the field points to be stored in layer T1, and others to the layer Field notes, it will be enough to put such text in the fifth column. EasyDEM will collect all the ocurrences of the same text (Field notes for example), even ignoring extra blanks, upper case or lower case, etc. One restriction is that all rows has to have the same number of ",". The CSV data files might have extension .MDT, .TXT or any other.

Right after the Import operation, the points appear in the screen as illustrated in Fig. 24.
