Create a new layer: Terrain
in order to create a Digital Elevation Model (DEM), it is necessary to create a layer where to put the field values. Thus, you select in the cascade menu Layer>>Add layer as illustrated in Fig. 19 and then a window appear where you write the name of the new layer: "Terrain".(Fig. 20)

After starging, EasyDEM has a default layer, wisely named "Default" which is the place where you might put the first data. Because you have already created a new layer (Terrain) it is selected by default.
To check it, you can issue the sequence Layer>>Set default layer (Fig. 21) and a windows is displayed with all the existing layers. As Fig. 22 shows, such list now has the layers Default and Terrain. The current default has blue background.
